Germans, the largest number of foreign tourists in Turkey this Summer

According to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of foreign tourists in Turkey in the first 8 months of this year has reached 7 million 255 thousand 107 people.

This year’s tourist season in Turkey started late due to the corona outbreak, and foreign tourists traveled to Turkey in mid-June after launching reciprocal flights.

On the other hand, during the first 8 months of this year, 2 million 16 thousand 553 Turkish citizens living in different countries traveled to the country, and including it, 9 million 271 thousand 660 people visited Turkey during the mentioned period.

The number of German tourists reached 789,602 in the first eight months of this year, making Germany the largest foreign tourist destination in Turkey. The number of Russian tourists during the period reached 772,686 and the country was in second place; Bulgaria with 532,417 tourists, Ukraine with 520,833, and the United Kingdom with 465,180 tourists are in the next ranks.
